I’m Brooke, a passionate dog groomer with over a decade of hands-on experience and a proud fur mum to my pup Cooper. My journey into dog grooming wasn’t just a career choice; it was born from personal healing, love, and a life-long bond with animals.

At 18, during one of the hardest chapters of my life, my mum brought Cooper into our home. He was more than just a pet. He became my reason to get out of bed, a heartbeat by my side when I needed it most. That connection deepened my understanding of just how much dogs can sense, feel, and communicate.

My grooming qualifications include Cert III in Pet Grooming and Cert IV in Animal Companionship (Behaviour & Training), and they’re more than certificates on paper. They reflect what I believe is essential in grooming, truly understanding the why behind a dog’s behaviour. Whether it's a dog who’s nervous around clippers or one that trembles in the bath, reading their cues and responding with empathy can transform their grooming experience from fearful to calm. Grooming isn’t just physical, it’s emotional.

I started my career at PetStock at 20, but the fast-paced structure never sat right with me. So I opened Groomed by Brooke, a peaceful, home-based salon where the dogs’ needs came first. Later came The Grooming Barn, a leap into a full-scale business. While rewarding, it became clear that managing a salon during Covid meant compromising the individualised care I value most.

That realisation led me to Bark & Bathe, a return to what matters.

Here, your dog receives one-on-one attention in a calm, home environment with salon-grade equipment and professional expertise. There’s no rushing, no conveyor belt grooming, just calm energy, tailored care, and genuine understanding of your pup’s needs.
